Matt has spent his career creating technologies and businesses that have transformed industries. In digital advertising he helped build, scale and optimize the Internet’s top advertising exchanges at Google, Admeld and LiveRail, which handled collectively handled trillions of transactions. As employee number seven at AdMeld (which was acquired by Google for $400M in 2011) Matt played a central role in all aspects of the company, from product development to sales to operations. After Google, Burton joined LiveRail (which was acquired by Facebook for $500M in 2014) where he continued to focus on programmatic exchanges. After transforming Online Advertising Matt changed his focused to Lending. In 2013 he founded Orchard Platform, where he and his co-founders are combining their expertise in auction dynamics and bidding behaviors, extensive knowledge in credit risk and underwriting analytics to reimagine the future of credit.
Matt is also is a three time Texas State Tennis Champion and loves racket sports and traveling the world.
Sherif Hassan is a small business advocate credited with providing more than $300 million to more than 10,000 small business owners. Sherif founded Herio Capital in early 2015 with the mission to provide working capital to a wide range of customers in a transparent manner, using a seamless process and an intuitive user experience. Prior to Herio, Sherif spent over six years at OnDeck. He developed and implemented the Funding Advisor Program, the industry’s largest wholesale channel. He also built a comprehensive training program used in over 300 sales offices and ran point on the firm’s early business development efforts. Sherif received both his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from Stevens Institute of Technology in Civil and Ocean Engineering, respectively. Earlier in his career, Sherif worked on a major international development project during which time he authored several reports on reconstruction, development, and microlending. When he’s not tinkering with the credit model or talking to a client, Sherif can often be found playing chess in Washington Square.
Brian S. Korn is a partner in the Capital Markets practice group at Manatt, Phelps & Phillips, LLP, and is resident in the firm’s New York office. His practice focuses on corporate finance transactions, including initial public offerings (IPOs), early-stage and start up venture financings, and mature corporate and high-yield debt finance. He also advises clients on SEC compliance, broker-dealer compliance and corporate swap transactions. Mr. Korn has made multiple appearances on Fox Business Television, Bloomberg, CCTV America and National Public Radio commenting on the JOBS Act, including its impact on crowdfunding, peer-to-peer lending, IPOs and market trading dynamics.
Terry is a Practice Manager within the Strategic Initiatives team at Yodlee. His background includes over 20+ years of financial services experience in both consumer and small business in Credit Origination, Collections, Retention, Risk Mitigation, Operations, Education, and Quality Control. Terry also has extensive experience in credit origination and analytics that includes time with FICO and Dun & Bradstreet in support and development of custom analytic solutions with many of the Top 50 Small Business Lenders. Terry is currently driving the Strategic Initiatives team where he looks for opportunities to utilize Yodlee’s data network to enhance credit risk opportunities for our customers. These opportunities include but are not limited to enhancing the originations decision process for both Small Business and Consumer activities and target portfolio monitoring risks to allow the data to become actionable.
Jason Jones is the Co-Founder and CEO of the Cardinal Rose Group, a holding company in the P2P and online lending sector. Cardinal Rose Group owns Lend Academy Media, NSR Invest, and the LendIt Conference. The three founders of CRG have built their portfolio companies from scratch. Prior to CRG, Jason founded HighStep Capital, an investment firm focused on early-stage Internet and financial services companies, where he invested in over 200 Internet-related companies from around the world. Previously, Jason worked as an Internet analyst at J. Goldman & Co. and at Goldman Sachs, a venture capital research analyst at Cambridge Associates, and as a trade settlements associate at Fidelity Investments. Jason holds an MBA from the Johnson School at Cornell University where he was a Park Leadership Fellow and a BS from Babson College. He is originally from the Boston area and he currently resides in the NYC area.
